  • Social Media Chair / Manager

    • Creating graphics to post on all social platforms, grassroots and digital assets, text and email blasts, club-wide slack announcements

    • Planning and speaking at meetings of over 100 students, creating slide shows and pamphlets to hand out to everyone

  • Outreach

    • Being the direct contact for administration and superiors at the University regarding events, planning, fundraising, etc.

    • Attending university events to recruit students, running the BDMC booth at multiple club fairs and involvement fairs

  • Maintained club culture

    • Networking and creating personal relationships with students involved in the club, ensuring new members felt comfortable and included as involvement increased, providing my contact information as well as other resources for those who were in need

  • Fundraising

    • Planned multiple fundraising events, including an all-day on-campus music festival with over 80 musicians, raising over $5,000 for charitable organizations

2019-2022

What started as a small group of 5 of my musician friends wanting to network, slowly became something much bigger. By 2022, Bloomington Delta Music’s involvement had reached over 300 students, was the reason behind the exodus of over 10 local bands, and was nominated for Student Organization of the year for 2 consecutive years. BDMC gave students a place to practice, perform, and network with other student musicians. It gave resources those who were just starting out and looking for new experiences.

Open Air Venues, started by Indiana University in 2020, provided opportunities for students, faculty, staff, campus departments and student organizations to present a variety of events in safe and socially distant outdoor environments. This specific event was sponsored by Open Air Venues.

Indiana University reached out to us on multiple occasions to perform at large-scale University events. IU Dance Marathon is the largest fundraising event at IU, typically raising around $3 million per year.
